We're three friends from Singapore who couldn't find furniture that was both genuinely good and genuinely affordable. So we went and built it.
Three friends, one very Singaporean problem.
We grew up here - same schools, same hawker centres, same long bus rides home. Years later we landed at the same stage of life all at once: keys collected, wedding dates set, renovation chats running late into the night.
And we kept hitting the same wall. The furniture we actually wanted - warm, modern, built to last - carried showroom prices none of us could stomach. The affordable stuff looked the part for about six months, then sagged, peeled, or wobbled its way out the door.
So we stopped shopping and started sourcing - straight to the factories that build for the premium brands, minus the showroom in the middle. What's left of the price goes to the people who actually live with the furniture. That's Vella.
