We started Vella because we were living the problem — premium furniture priced out of reach, right when our first homes needed it most.
Our Story
Three friends, one very Singaporean problem.
We grew up here — same schools, same hawker centres, same bus routes home. Years later, we found ourselves at the same stage of life: BTO keys collected, wedding dates set, renovation chats going late into the night.
And we kept running into the same wall. The furniture we actually wanted — the warm, modern, built-to-last kind — came with showroom prices none of us could stomach. The affordable stuff looked the part for about six months. So we decided to fix it ourselves.

Why Vella
Premium shouldn't mean out of reach.
Furnishing your first home in Singapore is one of the biggest purchases you'll ever make — and it hits right when you're also paying for the flat, the renovation, and the wedding. We've been there. It's a lot.
When we looked at what was actually on offer, the gap was frustrating. The pieces we loved — solid wood, proper upholstery, the kind of furniture that still looks right ten years in — were priced like luxury goods. Everything else felt like a compromise we'd regret.
So we went to the source. We partner directly with the same manufacturers that supply premium brands overseas, cut out the showroom markups, and pass the savings on. Same quality. A price that makes sense for a young Singaporean family.
